Player Registration Service Desk Administrator - 14 month Fixed Term Contract

Our Organisation:

The Football Association (The FA) is the governing body of football in England. We are responsible for promoting and developing the game at all levels; from grass roots through to the professional game, The FA Cup and the England International teams, and has two core assets: Wembley Stadium and St George’s Park. This role is a joint partnership between The FA and Middlesex CFA.

The Role:

An exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering on a FA Blue Chip Project - 100% Player Registration and Email Coverage.

In partnership with the Middlesex CFA, the FA is looking to appoint four enthusiastic and driven individuals to work on the Player Registration Service Desk. The Service Desk will have a national remit focussing on resolving the queries raised by Whole Game System users in relation to Player Registration. The team will ensure the highest standards of online customer service which will be pivotal to us achieving our national objective of 1.4 million affiliated players in Player Registration with an individual email.

The ideal candidate will need to have an understanding of the FA Player Registration system, and be totally committed to excellent customer service.

Key Accountabilities:

Provide efficient responses to various user queries relating to basic Player Registration, WGS, Full Time, Matchday and Matchday/PayPal and any other systems as may be required by The FA from time to time, using an appropriate E-Service Desk solution;

Provide exemplar responses to user queries and escalate more complex queries to the FA Player Registration Coordinator or wider team;

Attend FA Technology/Player Registration Team Training sessions and extend team meetings;

Complete any other tasks as is reasonably required by The MFA/The FA from time to time in order to fulfil the role effectively;

Ensure the Service Desk is operational during key times for volunteers.

What we are looking for:

Essential

  • Excellent Communication skills using traditional, modern and emerging media
  • Excellent administration and skills
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office
  • Possibility of working unsocial hours
  • Report writing

Desirable

  • Basic knowledge of the WGS- Player Registration, Affiliation and Sanction
  • Basic knowledge of FA Full Time
  • Experience of working with CFAs, League and Club Volunteers
  • Experience of using conferencing systems such as WebEx
