Our Organisation:

The Football Association (The FA) is the governing body of football in England. We are responsible for promoting and developing the game at all levels; from grass roots through to the professional game, The FA Cup and the England International teams, and has two core assets: Wembley Stadium and St George’s Park.


Overview of Role:

To provide support and assistance in the Player Status team, in particular to assist with the processing of National Game registrations and amateur ITCs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • To issue and request ITCs for amateur players, including minor players joining amateur clubs under the limited exemption
  • To process incoming post, scanning and filing of documents as required
  • To record all National Game registrations, ITCs, FA competition permissions and retained lists on the player database
  • To respond within agreed service levels to telephone and email enquiries on players’ status, FA Rules and FIFA Regulations as they apply for domestic registrations and transfers
  • To assist with other tasks as directed by the Player Status Manager or Assistant Player Status Manager – National Game
  • To execute additional tasks as required in order to meet FA Group changing priorities


What we are looking for:

  • Experience in an administrative role
  • Experience of handling sensitive information
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office
  • Data entry
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience of working in a regulatory or compliance environment
  • Knowledge and/or experience of regulatory processes and work of a Sports Governing Body
  • Legal knowledge, in particular contract law
  • Experience of preparing and delivering presentations
